This 10-day study-abroad course in Nijmegen, Netherlands, will investigate Europe’s philosophical and theological heritage in a collaborative seminar with Dutch and Saint Anselm faculty and students. Saint Anselm students will read pertinent texts, hear lectures from Saint Anselm and Dutch faculty, engage in discussion with Dutch students, and visit museums and sites that historically mark the formation of Europe’s philosophical and theological world-view. Such sites include selected landmarks and museums in Amsterdam and Nijmegen in the Netherlands, and Aachen in Germany. This course is approved to count as a Philosophy major or minor requirement. This course will run from Wednesday, May 13 - Monday, May 25, 2015. You will meet on-campus as a group on May 13-15 and then depart for the Netherlands in the evening on Saturday, May 16. The Application Deadline is February 13, 2015.
