Program Description

Are you interested in business in developing and emerging markets? Economic and political development of Latin America? If the answer is yes, this field programis for you! You will enroll in either BU-324 Business in Emerging and Developing markets or HI-376 Modern Latin American History for the spring 2018 semester and travel to Costa Rica over spring break. Course materials will come alive as you travel to Costa Rica and meet with local businesses, learn the history of the country as local experts share their experiences with you. Both courses examine the forces underlying the political and economic dynamics in developing and emerging markets. Through an in depth analysis of cultural, political and economic factors, you will learn about critical strategic issues and operating challenges in these markets. In addition, you will develop different perspectives on managerial issues and essential skills for success in developing and emerging markets.

BU 324 is a business and international business elective, and will fulfill the global engagement core requirement.

HI 376 is a history elective and fulfills the one course for the History, Comparative Politics and Regional Studies International Relations major.

Both courses will meet throughout the spring 2018 semester and includes an option international component over spring break - March 3 - 10, 2018.

To reserve your space on the program please submit a $500 deposit to the Office of International Programs by November 10, 2017. Checks can be made out to 'Saint Anselm College'. The Office of International Programs is located in Geisel Library.
